I've never wanted anything more than to be right about one thing before I died. It's looking as if I'm going to get my wish! The current "Azeri offensive" on NK started on.....you guessed it: July 28.
I don't think I have to remind anyone of the 100 year anniversary of this date, but you may look it up if you must.

'invisible' participants
The English speaking edition of the Chinese Global Times ran an article about the upcoming Russian-Armenian talks having 'invisible' participants. http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/828960.shtml#.UptxeMQ3uSo
I was unable to discern who these participants were, but the finger seemed to be pointing at the Ukraine.

Things are getting noisy....
My Google alert today sent me articles from both Bloomberg and Businessweek titled "New War Risk on Russian Fringe Amid Armenia-Azeri Clashes." The articles were similar, but the Bloomberg one had more detail.
The South Caucasus pot is clearly boiling, and it seems to be only a matter of time. How much time? I wish I knew.
According to "Vestnik," Armenia lost 71 soldiers last week. http://vestnikkavkaza.net/news/politics/58400.html I don't think the US ever lost 71 soldiers in one week during the Iraq War.
Another website named "Worldbulletin.net" penned a screed titled "Russia 'concerned' over Azerbaijan-Armenia clashes." The tone was bland.
